I run a 2.6 Capri engine in my Bug-eye Sprite. It has an Offy intake, Isky
cam, Holly 4-bbl., ported, polished and balanced. The last auto-cross we
ran it was 2/10ths of a sec ahead of a 454 Vetty but rattled the bearings
before the day was done so it has been retired for several years. The Capri
engine can be made to turn out some horses.
