Mustangs have one of those sensors concealed right near the gas tank. We
had some experiece with it. Everytime it rained heavily my son's Mustang
would short out, making the car stop dead in its tracks. When it stopped
raining, the car would start up. Repair and towing costs at the local
Ford dealer???---about $1000 before they found out it WASN'T the fuel
pump, computer and lots of other things.
Moral of the story??? don't do it. There are lots of electrical wonders
in your newer cars that are better left with them because they COST way
out of proportion of what they're worth.
