In a message dated 99-06-21 11:02:56 EDT, you write:

<< . What is the validity of using the
5/16" aluminum wheel spacers? I am running aftermarket wheels, 8 spoke
Western aluminum (minilite look alike), which apparently have the correct
offset. Any thoughts will be appreciated. >>

I have always considered the spacers a cosmetic piece to get rid of the "crab
tracked" look of a stock Tiger by moving the rear wheels out further. While
they should be safe for most driving conditions, I have read a number of
posts on the Shelby list indicating that spacers, in general, are a dicey
proposition. The only way they work well is if they are machined to close
tolerances, a longer stud is used etc.
