Mark,


Sure, ask one of the insurance company adjusters, they always seem to have a
'lo-ball' expert available.  But why would you want to do that.  Certainly not 
for
the California 'use tax', there are a lot easier ways.  Your insurance company
will be pleased to eliminate the collision coverage, and reduce your payments, 
if
the care isn't worth repairing then all you need are PL and BI.
