I had a '70 Fiat 124 Spyder, and the brakes seemed to have their various
parts made out of dissimilar metals that just loved to corrode the s**t
out of each other, or freeze together.  And yes, there was something
funny about the rear calipers, screwing the pistons in.  Something to do
with the the parking brake, I think.

My car had belonged to a Navy guy for it's first year (living around
salt water, of course), then I got it.  It was a '70, and the rocker
panes rusted through by '72.  The brake calipers had sliding parts
frozen together in the summer of '71.

In short, get the new parts if you possibly can.
