Ahh, New Clues.
Yes, it's in the starter circuit. Disconnect wire at starter and see if
voltage appears on ignition starter position at the disconnected starter
wire to ground.
If not, then suspect solenoid.
BUT, from your description sounding of significant battery drain, I
truly suspect your starter is, in technical terms, "broke". $29.95 at
Pep Boys.
