Sender and fuel gauge problems

Many Thanks Listers, the problem was in the Voltage Reg, it wasn't too old but
didn't put out enough. Many of you nailed it. I just so happened to have one
still in the package from my last problems with one. Put on a new VR and the
sending unit (out of the tank) can actually register full.
    I don't know what we'd do without this list. Thanks guys, Mark
