Since my hard top had the toggle clamps, the rubber was in good order,
and the windshield/trunk hinges where about where they should be (if the
soft top fits at all, it's a pretty good bet.)

Besides, if you just get the rear pegs in, and the side clamps, you can
probably get away without the front clamps, if you take it easy. Same
thing with the front clamps and rear pegs if the side clamps are in trouble.

A layer of soft toweling will take care of missing back body rubber, if
thick foam insulating tape is put in the missing rear rubber channels.

If nothing else, a rope around the car and top, with protective finish
toweling (after you are in the car) can get you home if you avoid the
exhaust system (8->.
