You are right pre-stressed does not mean pre-cracked.
As I Emailed Tom Hall, I was throwing the fat into the
fire with the tip.

One thing I would question is the need for delron
bushings for other than a racing application.  I know
all of us think that if a race car uses it, it must be OK
for street use and will make my car better and faster.
This is not the case here.
