Bob,
You may have read my post on Saturday about my
misadventure with my vent tube on my Carter AFB. On
my car, the vent tube has no filter (PO installed) and
I have had no problems (other than confusing the vent
tube with the fuel inlet). Seems like no gas would
back up into the engine. YMMV.
