I know the REAR components on the Tiger are the same as TR's, but I am not
sure about the front disc.
I will however be very interested in the responses you get from this
post.....a conversion like this one would help a lot. Plenty 'o them
buggers in the junkyards.

I looked through a Triumph site and found an article about brake caliper
conversion on TR 4 / 5 etc. They had replaced original Girling calipers with
calipers from 1979 - 83 Toyota pickup 4WD. The Toyota caliper has four
pistons
instead of the two on the Girling wich means better breaking power.
Are the Girling calipers on the TR the same as on the Tiger ?
