More years ago than I like to remember (like, late 60's), I ran some
Goodyear Y-6 "damn near" slicks on the original rims -- hey, I was young and
stupid then -- point is, I did not use innertubes, but there was a nifty
heavy-duty stem and gasket that I got form the local hotrod store that
bolted onto the rims. That arrangement worked most fine. I think might
still even have one on one of those guys around if its of interest and/or
use.

LAT 9 Listeners,
My set of newly refurbished LAT 9's are ready for tires. (no not another
tire question!) My tire guy says he must install tubes because the stem hole
is not flat and he can't install a tubeless stem. Is this true? Any way to
get around it? I'm just not keen about tubes. I guess it goes back to my old
days of Moto-x. Thanx in advance.

PS Just in time for the United. Anyone on list going in Oct.?
