This just got my attention... buzzing through old unread messages, I don't 
recall
if it was answered or not. I'm pretty sure that the later (Mk1A and Mk2) soft 
top
boots had extra Dotz hooks so that you could hook them onto these eyelets and
keep the boot in position better.
