I don't believe these will fit the Tiger. The stock tiger wheel is 13x4.5,
with a 4" backspace. The most backspace a 13" wheel can have on the tiger
and not contact the tie rod is 4 1/8". So, how can this 13x7 wheel with a
"deep offset" not rub?

Like you, I think I've probably seen bucket loads of Tigers and Alpines
with every kind of wheel. A handful have turned out to be a little known
factory installed or factory authorized dealer installed option.

These wheels on Ebay obviously don't look familiar, and though the owner
might have either pulled them from a Sunbeam or been told that they came
from a Sunbeam, they don't look to me to be an authentic Rootes option.
Obviously, I'd like to hear from other Rootes dudes and dudetts(?).

My experience with Rootes paper (factory sales folders, reprints of road
tests, factory postcards, etc.) is that Ebay may stand alone as a source
of the occasional fake Rootes offering for unsuspecting folks new to
Rootes. The saving grace are the mostly good quality jpegs of the item
for sale, so that we can make up our own minds about the authenticity of
the item.

Again, what do other Rootes folks think of the wheels?
