I can't believe you guys.  NEVER  NEVER volunteer information
to the authorities.  It is ALWAYS be used against you.  Here
in the Heartland, its easy to get your car titled.  Go to any
AAA and get it done in 5 minutes.  In fact you don't even have
to have the car with you.  I took my car's Texas title to the DMV,
paid the transfer fee and was issued an Illinois title. No questions
No hassles.  Last year took a lost title form. 'signed by the owner'
for a Ranger that I had acquired.  $30 for lost title fee, $75 for the
new title, and gone in 60 seconds.  The Ranger never was there.

Don't let the 9-5 petty bureaucrats rule.  They are supposed to
be civil SERVANTS.
