What lubricant should I use to keep the sliding parts in my brake adjusters from seizing? The housing is cast aluminum and the screw and sliding parts are steel I think. One of the rear brake adjusters on my car was "frozen" and after heating it in the oven to 425 degrees a few times and using a drift to loosen the parts I finally was able to disassemble it. Bill |
