According to an article on Tigerunited, the Autometer
temp sender model 2254 will work with the stock temp
guage. I got one and installed it, and now either it
is right on, or it is pretty far off (compared to my
previos unknown sender)

With my old sender, i was hitting about 210 degress
after 20 min idling in the garage. With the new one,
it goes to about 180-190 after the same amount of
time.

So, either this is the root of my problems, and my car
was not running as hot as I thought, or this sensor is
incorrect, or it is something else is wrong.

So, if anyone can verify that they have actually used
this sensor with success and accuracy, then that is
great. If not, I will probably get an aftermarket
guage set to check it from a "third party" to see
which sender is more accurate.

Thanks for any input!

Scott
