Richard,

One thing for sure, the guy on the Holley hotline is being paid way too
much. Side pivot floats are not symmetrical and it definitely does matter
which way you are turning. In fact, a right turn with a Holley is the
direction that tends to starve. However, it is only on a rather long hard
steady turn that it will show up. That's assuming you have adjusted the
float level correctly. If you have, then maybe it is an electrical
intermittent - the worst kind of problem. One thing you might do is hook a
voltmeter to the positive side of the coil. Set it to read AC and that
should show you if you have voltage to the coil while running. If you still
have normal AC voltage at the coil during a right hand stall, normal being
whatever it reads going straight at that rpm, then maybe it's the voltage to
the fuel pump. Check that with the voltmeter too - this time set to DC.
