   Bob, Bob, Henry, Steve,

As you know, most automotive situations are compromises.

With the Tiger Torque Arm I made the effective arm length as
long as I could to reduce the dynamics of the rear axle.

However, as I see it, the torque arm does ALL the right stuff:

- It gives the rear axle housing a push DOWN ( the REAR of the
body goes UP, reducing squat ) under acceleration, a good thing.

-It gives the rear axle housing a push UP ( the REAR of the body
goes DOWN reducing dive! ) under braking, a good thing.

If you have excessive rear brake action you get rear wheel hop under
braking. Most people would say this is a bad thing but when you
have locked your rear wheels and DON'T know it, THAT IS A BAD THING!
I have been there and crashed that!

If you are unaware of the action of a Torque Arm and have excessive
rear brakes, you have a problem.

With the proper amount of rear brake, the Torque Arm works very well!

It's like a sway bar, the outside wheel gets pushed up and with
action of the sway bar the inside wheel also gets pushed up.
How can lifting the inside wheel be a good thing?

I don't know anything about the Caltrac design, but if it fits on
a Tiger and works better than a Torque Arm, I would encourage
people to use it!

I have told people as soon as I find a better device than a
Torque arm I will put it on MY car!

As SOON as I have TIME!
