John- I would guess that Norm has the information and more already on
record. Im not so sure about how old we are but if possible he knows when
and from whom your Tiger came from. TE/AE has all the information in the
membership rooster and CAT may well have it as well. I know that everytime I
go to a United Im amazed at how old the owners seem to be. So many well
preserved YOUNG MEN running around begging for a chance to blow the dooors
off of a young kid in any kind of car that will make the attempt. Have to be
careful these days as many little cars are running nitrous and although they
have a 4 cylinder engine, they are still pretty dam fast. I think it is safe
to say that when a guy reaches a certain age that driving a Tiger definitly
makes him feel much younger. Its a fact a guy can be dog butt ugly and have
a very HOT young lady on his arm. he just needs to be rich or for the young
lady to think he is, as a recent email I received shows. So if you have a
big roll of hundred dollar bills and a Tiger you can be as young as you
want. Unless the wife catches you, then her young boyfriend might be driving
your Tiger. He may as well, he will be sleeping in your house or her house
as Judge Judy proclaims. LOL

What we have is a very deversified group of YOUNG MEN, who allow a few kids
to hang out with us. It is very true tho, we do need to get the
grandchildren as involved as possible. My grandson has already laid claim to
a Mk1a and that was before the paint was sanded off of the front fender. If
he sands the whole car down I think its only fair I should leave it to him.
I think his Mom might demand she drive it for him tho. But seriously, its
not like a bunch of kids can go find a Tiger to fix up as a driver. There
cant be to many cars left to restore, other than the ones Im saving. Ive
said that for a few years but every so often another pops up on ebay.
Knowing there has to be several Algers running aroun. I recently met a guy
from out east who told me his Tiger has a S3 Alpine tail section and that
Dale A. was the guy who restored the Tiger. I have a hard time believing
Dale would add a S3 rear tail light section to a real Tiger BUT I definitly
wouldnt tell soemone Ive never met I didnt think his Tiger was/is real. I
know email and dale dont mix, so if anyone talks to him personally anytime
soon, please try to remember to ask him IF he ever aded a set of long fins
to a Tiger/ Stay young, drive a Sunbeam as often as possible. Winter is on
its way out, Thanksfully
