I have been trying to get in touch with Stu Brennan to ask him a question
about an article. If you have a way of sending this to him or giving me his
email address I would appreciate it. Here is the message

Hi, I really liked your article on doing the windshield washer. Everything
was quite clear, but I would like to ask a couple of questions. I have a
series 5 and have taken the bellows and everything apart. My questions are
when you put everything back together how to you make the plunger spring back.
There is al ot of distance between the black cap where the hoses would
normally attach and the bottom of the plunger. I would like to avoid any slack
in the plunger so it stays completely in the out position. I can't really see
that attaching the switch to the bottom of the cap will take up all of the
space. Another thing is that my hoses split inside the passenger area and I
am not sure that I have enough hose to go back through the firewall to a place
where I could mount the washer bottle. Do you know what size the hose is. I
also noticed that you were able to attach the switch to the cap. I am not
exactly sure how you managed to do that. Did you glue it in place or what. I
also do not have a stock bottle. Do you have any suggestions on what I could
use to take the place of the bottle. I am not sure that I could use a
radiator recovery bottle that you buy at Auto Zone. I also am certain that I
don't have enough room to put a bottle in that I would get at the local junk
yard. I am running a V-6 and am a little short on space. If you can help me
out with these questions I would really appreciate it. My email address is
pembertonltd@verizon.net. Another thing is if the pump is putting out too
much pressure is there a way to adjust the amount that hits the windshield.
Also my home phone is (951) 677-7512 just in case you thought that it would be
easier to tell me rather that write the directions. I live out in Southern
California and notice that you live in the New England area. Where at. I
used to live in Newport, RI when I was attached to the Naval War College
there. We went up to Boston quite often and went to the Durbin Park
Restaurant in Quincy Market. Well enough of all this & I hope to hear back
from you. Thanks Bret Pemberton
