If memories serve me right, WD40 is made with fish oil.
The story goes that the military was trying to find something they could be
wiped on the nuke missiles that would keep them from rusting while they were
in the launch tubes.

WD40 is one of the formulas they came up with. I have the story somewhere I
will have to dig it up.
