Hi Steve,

Thanks for the input. The few reponses I have had to this question lead me 
to believe that all Tigers mirrors had the vinyl covering. The puzzling part 
for me is that one of the mirrors I have (came with the car) has no covering 
nor any evidence of there ever having been any. The fastener heads on the 
backside are flush to the body with no gap or evidence of vinyl.

I'm not too sure what the legality of these mirrors is here in BC. It would 
sure take an eagle-eyed cop with a good knowledge of the rules to notice 
such a detail and give you the gears over it.
