i was just fitting my lovely new centerforce 10" clutch to a new
mcleod flywheel and noticed that the 3 dowel pins cannot be used with
a 10" pressure plate.
the old clutch was 10.5" and the dowels fit that and both pressure
plates will bolt up using the same 6 bolt locations.
is it ok not to use the dowels? the bolts fitted about as tight as
the dowls in the old pressure plate so i'm not too concerned about
alignment but i suppose they add shear strength too.
