Does anyone know if you can swap?the thinner 289/ 302 timing cover and utilize
the corresponding thicker water pump with the backing plate for the original
thicker 260 timing pump cover and the thinner water pump without backing plate
(hi-po style water pump).? Getting the passenger side outlet is not a problem,
and the different diameter on the pulley shafts do not seem to be a major
issue.? Curious if anyone has dobe this swap, or knows what the +/- delta would
be on the distance from the block to the pulley face?
