Ive always used Permatex brand too. Blue mostly but black and orange too. On
my cars and Harelys as well and have never had any problems of any type on
aluminum or other material. I dont know how many RTV silicone suppliers are
around but Permatex seems to work well for me. I will have to check on the
gray that Theo mentioned. I dont recall seeing it in the states- could it be a
Canada color? Theo the orange is for high temp applications. Does the gray
have a certain application?
