Jim,

This is a classic Tiger spedo problem. The problem occurs because the paint on
the spedo needle gets stickey and sticks to the needle stop. There are two easy
solutions. They both require opening the spedo up. 1) scrape away the paint
where the needle contacts the stop. The little bit of missing paint isn't too
noticeable. Or 2) you can place a bit of Teflon sleeving on the stop. The
paint won't stick to Teflon.

This was a problem when the spedos were new and it's still a problem with
reconditioned spedos. Apparently modern paints used on the needle are just as
stickey as the older paints.

Good luck

Hello,

I've been noticing that my speedo doesn't move until I give the dash pad
under it a stout bang with my fist.
Then it works fine. So, stuck on launch until 'persuaded'.

Any ideas or simple solutions?
