All brake pads have a heat rating. The harder you drive and brake =
the
more heat you generate on the pads. If the pad brake material starts to
turn white you are pushing the heat limit of the pads and their =
integrity.
You then need to upgrade the pads.
=20
I currently have HPS pads on my stock Tiger brakes. They will work
very nicely for street use and probably for occasional autocross.
=20
I work with a Driving School at Watkins Glen and drive a mostly =
stock
1988 Ford Mustang there. I have progressed from Hawke HP to HPS to =
Black to
Blue pads over the years. I could smoke the Blue pads if I wanted to =
but I
don't.
=20
As with most pads you need to bed them in correctly to get the best
results.

How do you use your car? Hard to tell by the compounds you've given, as
they're all somewhat different in characteristics.

Anybody running the Wilwood 11.75" front brake kit do any experimenting=20
with pad compounds? They come with the BP-10 wilwood compound but
I think there is room for some improvement. I'm looking at the Hawk =
DTC-30
or HP compound or the Wilwood PolyMatrix E.=20
