The Alpine Parts Lists - Upper link bushing - 5220478 Lower link
bushing - 5220479
The original manufacturer would most likely have their own part numbers for
them.

Shop Manual
Upper link bushing sleeve has an ID of 1.277" - 1.279"
Lower Link bushing sleeve has an ID of 1.152" - 1.154"

These are the 1st things you should check when replacing the bushings -
measure the IDs and record.
I'm not sure what a good press fit size should be - somewhere around .003"
bigger maybe.?
2nd thing to check is the OD of the new bushing you have.

Many years ago I bought a set of bushings from Tiger Tom and they could be
pressed in with finger pressure - not good.
I called Tom and he thought he had purged all the undersize bushings from
his inventory - a bad batch was made unfortunately.
Tom immediately sent me the correct set which needed to be pressed in - much
better.

I've had good luck with the Metalastic version I've bought from Sunbeam
Spares in the UK.
http://sunbeamspares.com/shop/

(note: I did not buy the bushings from the recently formed Sunbeam Alpine
Tiger Spares company that is also in the UK. The name similarity is
confusing. I have no idea if this different company even sells bushings.)

The metalastik bushing number for the lower arm is 13/1408 30, I took this
off OEM bushings in a rooted package, clyde

They claim that they are the correct "metalastic" type.

I have used the latest ones from SS, they are marginal at best, I can't
speak to the rubber because they have no age on them yet, but I can speak to
the not so good fit, they are loose after installation, some didn't even
need to be pressed. I bought a set of used lower arms from a member and they
came with a set of OEM british bushings and they fit like they are supposed
to, I then took the set off my car that I had put the SS bushings in and
replaced with the arms I got that had the OEM bushings, they were
uninstalled in the original package when I got them. I don't remember the
part number from the OEM but I googled it to no parts found, it's hard to
believe that a basic bushing of that style can't be easily duplicated
correctly, Clyde
