The manual shows that Tiger rear ends are:=C2=A0 Salisbury hypoid =E2=80=98=
4.HA=E2=80=99 with a 2.88 to 1ratio.=C2=A0 What does the 4.HA stand for?

My understanding is these are posi traction meaning bothwheels are applying=
 power.

Those of you with 2.88 rear ratio gears, wide ratio 4 speedtop loader trans=
missions, what is your RPM=E2=80=99s in fourth at 50, 60,70 & 80MPH?=C2=A0

Those of you running other rear end rations, other factorsthe same, what ar=
e your RPM=E2=80=99s at the same speed and what ratio?

I like to drive my cars and just got back from a 1,263 mile6 day trip in my=
 original owner 1973 MGB with 229,000 miles on the car.=C2=A0

Things to consider:=C2=A01966 MK1A with 289 HiPo motor with about 300 HP an=
d estimated 9.4.1 compression

600 cfm 4 barrel Holley carburetor

Headers with 2.25=E2=80=9D exhaust

15=E2=80=9D wheels running 205\50 x 15 tires

Wide ratio top loader 4 speed transmission

Believe Salisbury posi rear end=20

Closed, open, locked, posi, ratios =E2=80=93 the list isendless.=C2=A0 What=
 I am looking for is avery streetable around town and on the highway posi r=
ear end ratio that willwork well with a good balance between acceleration f=
or fun and highwaycruising.=C2=A0 I am not there yet.=C2=A0 I have the acce=
leration for fun part in place but not the highway cruising (of course - av=
oid highways\interstate).

Data means a lot regarding RPM=E2=80=99s at speeds between 50 to 80mph.=C2=
=A0 Those of you who have switchedratios, please share your pros and cons.

Thank you for your input.

Regards

Joel Martin
