Here is a link to emails my dad sent about the 3030 clock. I'm wondering
if he misread the numbers on the clock. Note that he says his 9 and 3 are
laying down, and that they are red.

*The Sunbeam Tiger Mk I used Smiths CE 3030/00, which is in my car.*

*The 3 and 9 are sideways, and the bottom timing adjust and time*

*set are on the bottom sides, and the hands are red.*

*[Smiths CE 3030/00 Picture]*

*[Smiths CE 3131/01 Picture]*

*In summary, the MkIA and MkII used Smiths CE 3131/01. The 3 and 9 are
upright, and*

*correct number for your car.*

Brian Glenn is reporting that 3131/00 has red hands, and the belief is that
3030/00 has white hands. Assuming my dad could easily see that the arms
were red, as he typed, that would suggest he actually had a 3131/00.

This still doesn't mean that there is no 3030/00 - as Norman also wrote
that the 3030/00 was used. Or that the earliest Tigers didn't come with
white hands clocks. But it might just mean my dad misread the numbers on
the gauge.

Note that his email above went to *Tom Parker* and *Michael King* on August
5, 2020 (that was his birthday by the way). So they would have received
the pictures that are omitted from that post. Do either of you guys still
have that old email?

Jay
