Well...
Discs are better or else why would all new cars have discs?
Basically, they cool better.  In a Tiger with discs on the rear, they will =
have stable proportioning.
And the pads can run (slip) right on the disc, even when adjusted to the ma=
x, drums
have play in the pedal.
Yeah, aluminum drums might have a slight weight advantage, maybe not when y=
ou add the
cooling fins, self adjusters, springs, etc.  Now, there are light weight al=
uminum calipers too.
