You ask what to fill you lever shocks with...

Most all motorcycle shops have fork oil available in differing weights (even
Castrol brand for you lbc purists). I do not know what the actual viscosity
rating for original lever shock oil is, however it is fairly light (maybe 20
weight or so), so start with about a 40 or 50 weight fork oil for a high
performance setup and see how you like it. If it isn't what you want, you can
always refill with a different weight oil. I have mixed STP with the fork oil
to obtain REALLY stiff shocks, and have had no problems, at least with the
hydraulic aspect of the shock, but have stripped the arms off of the shocks,
but that's another story.
