valve clearance

Questions about valves clearances on a TR4.  The factory specs. call for 20
thous.  Local knowledge in the Denver area says go with 10 thou.  or risk a
bent push rod. Now I had a new cam put in and it is supposed to be a high
left cam.  What should I set up for.  Is there any way to get a feel for
this?

Second Question.  I saw discussed a German thing called a "car diaper"  Where
can I get one or at least more info?   Thanks, Fred
