Hey T.J.

How'd you like to change your fan belt, enlist useful help from your
sweetie, avoid removing that cross-tube, and apply the Theory of Exces-
sive Force all in one fell swoop ??

Tools needed, aside from wrench to slacken fan belt: Big Stick, or a
reasonable fac-simile thereof; perhaps a small wood block or two.

You locate B.S. to gently force motor/trans rearward on their rubber mounts.
You'll only need to move it 1/2" or less; don't pry against anything that
looks fragile or expensive.

Your sweetie, preferably clad in skimpy bikini and holding a cold beer in
her other hand, leans on Big Stick just enough to allow you to remove the
fan belt from between cross-tube and pulley. Repeat for installation of
new fan belt.

Now lavishly express your gratitude to Sweetie for making this operation
ever so much simpler and more enjoyable than it would have been otherwise.

Best regards,
Claude Hopper
