Hi ,
I have installed a new oil pressure sending unit on my 77 Spit and was
wondering what is the proper orintation of the wires. There are three wires
black which is ground, white with purple which goes to the anti run on valve
and white with brown which goes to the oil warning light. On the sending
unit there are two terminals which are normally closed when the engine is
off, they are the top terminal and the left terminal. I'm not sure about the
right terminal at this time. I can't start the engine right now as I'm
waiting for a fuel pump and spacer. The reason I changed the sending unit is
because the oil light never came on. I shorted the white and brown and the
black together and the light does light, so bulb is ok. Also the old unit
had a broken terminal that is the reason I installed a new one. I would
appreciate any help on this.

Thanks in advance.
