Will try to keep this short as it contains little/no LBC content:
Someone asked how badly the NE was hit by last weekends WX. Very.
We had 17inches of heavy wet snow dumped on us; every tree, power and
telephone line in North Central Mass. proceeded to follow gravity's
call. We lost our electric service at 5PM Sat and had it restored at
approx 3AM Wed. No heat, no water (private well, needs 240 AC), just
plain miserble for that period of time. BTW, it went out again at 6AM
this morning and was still off when I left for work :^(
Basil, however, is snug in his corner of the garage awaiting warmer
times.
