No wonder the 205/60s don't fill the well like the 70s, the 60s are a
smaller diameter by 7%! Since the 60s have a shorter sidewall, they
will handle much, much better than the 70s due to less sidewall flex.
I'm not a TR6 tire expert, but a 65 series tire should give the best
compromise of both worlds, good handling, good ride, and fill the wells
nicely.

On tire brands, I agree with Steve that Goodyears suck. The only way
they can sell tires is to sell them to OEM at dirt cheap prices so they
will put them on the cars. I've had the best experience with Dunlops
and Bridgestones, concerning performance gains vs tire life. I've got
Yokes on the Tempo now, and I am not too impressed, although if I got a
good price on them I would put Yokes back on or use them on the Spit or
Sports6. Pirellis were good, but costly. B.F. Goodrich gave great
performance, but not much better treadwear than Goodyears. Don't have
any experience with Michelins, except on parents vehicles, I guess I
just associate Michelins with whitewall tires on stodgy ol' cars. Of
all I like Dunlops the best by far.
