Scotty...I hate to disagree with Paul, but the 10-30 will cause SOME
loss...but in a well built engine you should still see 45-50 pounds presure
under load and at least 30-35 pounds at idle. Take 10-30 to temp and it acts
as 30 wt...not 10. The 10 is modifiers for cold starting only. Just as the 50
is modified for  high shear strength ...not to make it "thicker". BUT...you
are right...there is a viscosity difference...but not 50 pounds pressure
worth. And standard Mobil is a good oil...even tho I too use Castrol. It's
Synthetic that is a waste of money in a TR , although the seals in TR7's and
8's are must more compatible (high compression neoprene lip type vs typical
flange or leather in TR3 - 6). Besides, I'd miss that Castrol smell in the
evening on a hot sumemr day baking in my driveway if I used Synthetics.
