Anyone have a recommendation on where to find a Spitfire head for my 1500?
The casting is a TKC1410, and Victoria British has them (full built up) for
$600 + $150 core. Mine I found is cracked, and I need to replace it. If I
could find a good price on a all new built up head, or even a built up
recondition from someone trustworthy, I'd prefer to go this route (less work
with me having to build / get someone to build up the head).

I've also considered buying a bare head, but the prices seem to vary
anywhere from $100 (a one-time price from someone in Hemmings) to $250
(Victoria British). The $250 sounds a little steep, but anything under that
and I'd go that route... Any recommendations?

Also, a philosphical question. Is it worth going to dual valve springs on
the spit, per the UK standard? If I'm replacing the springs anyway I might
do that as well.

Thanks in advance
