Randy,
I don't know if this is really the best spot in terms of heat, but stamped
into the left inner wheel arch, in the vicinity of the distributor, there
is a large flat spot, in a slight depression. It is (without looking at it
or measuring) something like 4 inches by 6 inches... in that neighborhood,
maybe even a little smaller. This is where I mounted mine, and it has (so
far) not created any problems. This little flat spot looks like it was
made just for this purpose.
