Andy,
You're probably right *as usual*, and I almost posted it that way.  I
couldn’t remember if the pumpkins I had pulled were from a TR7 or a late
Spit without looking at them (and they're buried in the 'ol pumpkin patch'
under the transmission bits :-)
By the way, I saw a Hearld at the Mossfest and the center hood trim piece,
assuming it was original, was much flatter and slightly wider than what I
have.  Mine looks more like a Spitfire/GT6 wing finisher that is fatter
towards the front end of the car, then terminating in a spear.  Hummm. . .
. still a mystery !  I just may leave it on and watch all the lookers point
and wonder :-)
