Thanks to all listers who responded to my servo request.
I spoke with another brake specialist who told me that they had sold
a new, old-stock servo a few months ago, it was returned two weeks
later having failed. Apparently the rubber grease used during its
build had attacked the aluminium over the 25 or so years it had sat
on the shelf rendering it absolutely useless.
This specialist also told me that Lockheed won't honour guarantees if
you have silicon brake fluid, so that counts me out for using the
Lockheed replacement. I guess I will have to keep wearing the heavy
boots to stop the car.
