Perry,

Your pressure is fine. I will relate a quick story about my first TR3 oil
change, just over 1 year ago. I had oil pressure similar to yours. I put
in 30Wt and my hot idle plummetted to 5-8 psi. Go thick for now, just in
case the PO is a DPO and was running a lot of STP in the crankcase. I run
20W-50 synthetic now, but may change to straight 40wt next summer. New main
bearings, conrod bearings and thrust washers brought my pressure back.

Congrats on the "O" at the end of your commision number. That means
overdrive, hoepfully the car still has it. It is a very nice feature; one
which I will eventually install.

>Time for the first oil change on my new toy! Without a clue as to what
was in the crankcase from PO, I seek your collective wisdom. A couple
facts: Runs 60-70 lbs pressure cold, drops to 25 at idle when
thoroughly warmed up. Assume the big end bearings are a little worn.
Runs great. Has spin on filter adapter - no oil cooler. Living in
Indiana. Water temp runs around 165.
SO what ya think? Straight 30 wt? 10w30? 20w50? 15w40 diesel oil to
handle the clearances? All have been suggested. TIA
