I recently almost had the pleasure (seriously, not that I dislike Utah) to move
to the West Kingston-Narraganset RI area. I had the job offer was ready to
accept when a better offer came up here in Utah so I did not move.
Before I had the UT offer I checked into moving cost which included 2 vehicles
a TR4a in pieces and a full size Dodge Van that is in working condition. The
moving company wanted 1200 to move the van (this would have been through some
kind of subcontractor). It is about a 4,000 lb vehicle. Seems like they figure
about 500-700 for the cost of the TR4A. They were going to put the 4a in the
Moving van. The dodge van was too big to fit inside the moving van.
Or find a college student from NY attending school in UT ( this is not as
unlikely as it would seem, contact me if you need details) who would like a
free one way trip, pay for the gas, heavily ensure the vehicle.
