Remember too,that there are regulations not only covering the colour of the
plates,
ie:Silver/White or Ivory/Cream is acceptable on a black background
until September 1973,but not thereafter.
But the letters and numbers must be of a regulation size & style,and must be
correctly spaced,ie: ATR 60K is correct with the gap between the R and the 6,
and may not be made to read A TR6 OK this is on a TR6.
You get to see all kinds of 'clever' individuals,but they usually get caught
by some over-keen police man eventually!
