The sway bar link assembly fits in to the control arm mounting bracket from
the REAR side of the car (that is, the link, item 12 on page 123 of the VB
catalogue, is positioned inside the control arm and the attaching nut and
washer go forward of the arm).
If the broken bolt you mention is #10, then the stud #8 is broken, and must
be removed from the sway bar. Then new parts can be installed. Might be
just as easy to look at the left side to see the proper fitment.
