I guess it depends on what you want to use it for. I found that there is
a range of prices, but what I ended up with was a 2-ton jack (sorry,
don't know the name off-hand) that I bought at my local large auto parts
chain (Trak Auto). Cost me $40 bucks, and it hasn't "let me down" yet,
but I use it only for putting my Spit and GT6 in the air to get them on
jack stands, and I sure don't bet my life on it ...
