NO, that is not true.
The correct assumption to make is the GT6 was fed up with the TR-3
having all the atention. Being a nice kind car like they are it wated
untill it saw that the 3 could stand up for it's self, and then pulled a
stunt garenteeing that you would give it some TLC.
When you were doing up the 3 you needed to give it some extra TLC,
otherwise it get's an infiority complex. Wash and wax it once a week,
don't let it stand in the cold. Buy it pressents, like a cover.
When you fix the 6 though, remember to give the 3 some TLC as well.
