Realy BIG new battery, Japanise Battery Co. because they have a realy
good current at low temps.

Do your Jet's Go low enough when you pull your choke out, have you tryed
re-setting your linkages.

A lighter oil, will make the starter do less work, and so the voltage
will be higher. Rig yourself a conversion to a 6volt coil, with balist
resistor for normal use, and direct connection to the battery for
starting(provided by the solinoid).

I presume your valve clearences are OK.

Take your cylinder head off, de-coke, and grind your valves a bit.
